ASO MCP server · 23 read-only tools

The ASO MCP server for the App Store and Google Play.

AsoBeast’s MCP server lets Claude, Cursor, Codex or any other MCP client read your keyword rankings, competitors, reviews, audits and ASO to-do list, then answer in plain English. It comes with every plan and the 7-day trial, with no credits or per-call fees.

Settings writes this command for you, with a read-only token for your workspace.

Every tool is a read-only GET on the API, so an agent can read your queue but never change it. The MCP server comes with every plan, including the trial, and Settings writes the setup command for your client.

Setup

Connected in about a minute.

Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Codex and Gemini CLI each have a setup snippet. Any other client that speaks streamable HTTP or stdio works too.

  1. 01

    Start a workspace

Start the free trial and paste a store link. Tracking starts on import, so there is data to ask about within minutes.

  2. 02

    Mint a read-only token

Open the MCP server card in Settings and click connect an agent. It creates the token and writes the snippet for your client.

  3. 03

    Ask in plain English

Ask which keywords slipped this week, what to fix first or how you compare with a rival in one country. The agent picks the tools.

Questions

About the MCP server

What is an ASO MCP server?

An ASO MCP server connects an AI agent to App Store Optimization data through the Model Context Protocol. With AsoBeast’s server, Claude, Cursor or Codex can read your keyword rankings, search results, competitors, reviews, audits and action queue and answer questions about them, without you exporting anything first.

Which AI clients work with it?

Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Codex and Gemini CLI are documented, and Settings writes the command for each. Claude Desktop connects through the small mcp-remote bridge. Any other client that speaks streamable HTTP or stdio works as well.

Can the agent change anything in my workspace?

No. Every tool wraps a read-only GET and the token can only read. Importing apps, changing tracked keywords and closing actions stay in the web app, so the worst an agent can do is give a wrong answer.

Does it cost extra or use AI calls?

It is included on Indie, Ultimate and the trial, and it never uses the workspace’s AI call allowance. Hosted workspaces can make 60 MCP requests a minute on Indie and 300 on Ultimate. Self-hosted installs have no rate limits.

Hosted endpoint or local stdio server?

Both expose the same tools from one catalog. The hosted endpoint needs nothing installed. The stdio server runs on your own machine and calls the API, for clients without a remote transport or for a checkout of the source.

Does it work with a self-hosted AsoBeast?

Yes. The MCP server is part of the open source code, so a self-hosted install has the same 23 tools, pointed at your own server, with no rate limits.

Which MCP protocol revisions does it support?

Both transports serve the 2026-07-28 revision and the 2025 revisions from the same tool definitions. Neither holds a session, so there is no session id to store or expire.

What should I ask it?

Weekly reviews, triaging keyword losses, explaining why a keyword moved, comparing against a competitor in one country and drafting the next metadata iteration all work well. The docs have seven tested prompts.
